Bio

The Jake Leg Band is fundamentally a rock and roll band heavily influenced by roots music and the Grateful Dead songbook. They do not fit the jam band mold, keeping their primary focus on the songs themselves. Their sound serves as a virtual tour of American music history, blending folk, blues, and Americana .

The group was founded in 2015 by Josh Leik, Tom Dawes, and bassist Blaine Weisser from Bobby Campbell's Little Death project. Lead guitarist Joe Taylor expanded the lineup in 2017, and following Weisser’s passing in 2020, Lin Taylor took over on bass. The current members share deep collaborative ties, as both Joe and Lin Taylor played alongside Dawes in the band Life on Mars while Leik and Dawes were bandbates in Little Death.
